    The BP Process Technology Scholarship supports training for students who are interested in a career in Process Technology.  An A.A.S degree in Process Technology prepares you for employment as an operations technician in the process industry.  The program appeals to people who enjoy the challenges of using advanced computer technology and instrumentation to operate a variety of equipment systems and industrial processes.  Process technology is defined as the study and application of the scientific principles associated with the operation and maintenance of the chemical processing industry.

    Degree programs are offered through the University of Alaska Anchorage Kenai Peninsula College (KPC) in Soldotna and the University of Alaska Fairbanks Community and Technical College. Scholarships are available to students attending the PTEC program either full-time or part-time at any of the three University of Alaska campus locations.

  • Alaska Engineering Education Foundation Scholarship

    Amount:  up to $2,000

    Alaska Engineering Education Foundation Scholarship (AEEF) Scholarships are limited to high school seniors pursuing a degree in engineering.  Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, Inc (ABET) accredited engineering program at the college or university they attended.  

    Through AEEF, the Alaska Society of Professional Engineers (ASPE) funds scholarships for high school seniors who wish to pursue a degree in engineering.  Scholarships are awarded state-wide and at the local level in Anchorage, Fairbanks and Juneau and are funded by the local engineering communities.

  • Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship Program

    Amount:  Up to $30,000 over four-years

    The Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship Program is designed to address the financial needs of minority college students and provide comprehensive mentoring services through its 42 Strategies for Success Curriculum.  Once chosen from a national, selective process, "Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholars" receive a generous four-year grant to assist with the costs of attending the college or university of their choice and are enrolled in JRF's celebrated mentoring curriculum.

  • Aaron Howard Townsend Civil Engineering Memorial Scholarship

    Who:  Graduating senior from Alaskan high school

    Amount:  $1,000 per academic year

    The Aaron Howard Townsend Civil Engineering Memorial Scholarship provides scholarship for full-time undergraduate students majoring in civil engineering at the University of Alaska Fairbanks.

    Requirements:  class standing of junior or senior; majoring in civil engineering at UAF; be a graduate from an Alaskan high school; minimum GPA of 3.0.  First preference will be given to graduates of Lathrop High School.  Secondary preference will be given to graduates of any school within the Fairbanks Northstar Borough School District.

    The Association of Alaska School Boards is proud to announce its 26th Annual Scholarship Award Competition.  The June Nelson Memorial Scholarship is named in honor of the late June Nelson, longtime school board remember from Kotzebue.  This 2017-2018 school year, AASB will award fifteen graduating seniors each with a $1,500 scholarship to apply toward their post-secondary education.  The scholarship may be applied toward the student's choice of a business, trade, or a college institution.

  • 2018 North by North Essay Contest

    Imagine Alaska in 2030 - what innovative (new or different technology, policy or process) approach can Alaska take to address one or more of the following sustainable Development Goals and work toward resilience?  This contest is open to Alaska students in grade 7-12.  Essay responses should be not more than 500 words and include a title, author name and grade.  The winner for each age category will present their essay April 28 in Anchorage at the North by North Festival.

    The Kenai Historical Society Scholarship will award $1,000 to a 2017-2018 graduating senior who resides in the KCHS attendance area.  The student must plan to attend an accredited post secondary school in the United States as a full time student during the 2017-2018 academic year.  The $1,000 will be paid directly to the school and applied towards tuition, fees, or required textbooks for the 2017-2018 academic year.
