    Anita Byers was always encouraging youth adults to stay in school, to get an education, to never give up, and to achieve success in everything and in every way possible.  Kenai Peninsula Education Association (KPBSD) is the union of 480 School District classified employees and funds this scholarship through union dues.

    The Oilers Baseball Booster Club, Inc. is pleased to extend our scholarship program again this year.  Two scholarships of $1,000 will be awarded to a graduating senior from any Kenai Peninsula high school program.  The scholarship will be awarded to the graduating senior deemed most worthy by the Oilers Baseball Booster Club Scholarship Committee.

  • 2017 Kenai Peninsula Builders Association Shelby Johnson Memorial Scholarship
    Expires On: Friday, April 28, 2017 5:00 PM

    Who:  Any KPBSD 2017 graduating senior, current juniors who will be graduating in 2018

    Amount:  $1,000

    Any member of the Kenai Peninsula School District 2017 Senior Class, current juniors that will graduate in 2018, or any individual age 21 or younger (high school graduate or GED) who plans to pursue a career in a building-related field, an who will attend an eligible community college, university, or vocational school in the State of Alaska, is eligible to apply for a Kenai Peninsula Builders Association scholarship.  Up to four (4) $1,000 awards are available this year.  A building-related field includes, but is not limited to:  Heating, Ventilation, Electrical or Welding Technology; Carpentry, Building Trades, Interior Design, Structural Design, Architecture, Office Management, etc.

    Who:  Graduating senior who was involved in competitive swimming at high school level

    Amount:  $1,000

    Gary Eugene Martin was a longtime resident of Soldotna, Alaska who lifted others up with his positivity and encouraging nature.  His list of volunteer activities is long and reflects how much he cared about those he shared a community with.  He showed his passion for helping youth through his involvement in competitive swimming.

    Amount:  1 Year, 12 Credits each semester

    Any graduating Senior, who are interested in pursuing an education in Career and Technology through Kenai Peninsula College, can apply for this scholarship to receive funding for 1 Year (12 Credits/Semester) of Tuition to KPB for the 2017-2018 academic year.

    Who:  Homer graduating seniors - HOMER ONLY

    Amount:  $2,000

    The Homer Kachemak Bay Rotary Club is sponsoring $2,000.00 in scholarships for the Fall 2016/Spring 2017 academic year for 2016 high school graduates.  Students can attend any institution in a vocational program.  Applicants must demonstrate their best combination of financial need, academic achievement, career goals and Rotary principles.  Vocational program is defined as a program leading to an industry certificate, or other certificate of completion which would enable the recipient to obtain entry level career employment.  this need not be in a traditional vocational area such as welding or other trade, but may include culinary arts, specialized business training, etc. and need don't be a degree program.

  • American College Foundation Visionary Scholarship Program
    Expires On: Monday, May 01, 2017 5:00 PM

    Type:  Scholarship

    Amount:  $1,000 - $5,000

    Who:  Freshman, Sophomore, Juniors, Seniors

    Awards range from $1,000 to $5,000 each; with multiple winners to be selected.  Each award is a non-renewable, one-time award and is to be used exclusively to offset costs and fees related directly to the student's first year of higher post-secondary education at an accredited institution of he student's choosing within the United States.  In the even an underclassman is an award recipient, the monies will be held by the American College Foundation until the student completes high school and begins their higher education; at which time the award amount will be distributed.

    Financial need is NOT considered; all income levels are encouraged to apply.
