  • CIRCAC - Captain Barry Eldridge Memorial Maritime Scholarship

    The Cook Inlet Regional Citizens Advisory Council (CIRCAC) was created by Congress via the Oil Pollution Act of 1990 (OPA 90).  The council is mandated to perform environmental monitoring in Cook Inlet, Alaska; engage in oil spill prevention and response planning; and educate the citizens of Cook Inlet with information about our work.  In that spirit, they are pleased to offer a $2,500 scholarship for a selected student with educational and career ambitions that mirror Congressional mandates.

    Awards range from $1,000 to $5,000 each; with multiple winners to be selected.  Each award is a non-renewable, one-time award and is to be used exclusively to offset costs and fees related directly to the student's first year of higher post-secondary education at an accredited institution of he student's choosing within the United States.  In the even an underclassman is an award recipient, the monies will be held by the American College Foundation until the student completes high school and begins their higher education; at which time the award amount will be distributed.

    This scholarship is open to all US high school seniors who plan to pursue college education in nursing, including LPN / LVN, ADN, and BSN programs.  Applicants must be in good academic standing and on track to graduate from high school at the conclusion of the 2016-2017 academic year.  Only one application entry is accepted per student.

  • Kachemak Bay Campus Scholarships - Tuition Waiver, Homer Chamber of Commerce, SPHF Allied Health

    Who:18 yrs or older

    1.  Kachemak Bay Campus Tuition Waiver - KBC offers a limited number of tuition waivers to assist members of our community in engaging in courses they may not otherwise be able to take.

    2.  Homer Chamber of Commerce Scholarship - $500 scholarship for a/or returning student attending KBC who demonstrates the best combination of financial need and potential academic achievement.

    3.  South Peninsula Hospital Foundation Allied Health Scholarship - The SPHF is sponsoring $500 scholarship toward the cost of tuition, fees and books for Allied Health programs.

    The Icicle Seafood Scholarship was created to enable students from Homer to attend KPC.  The scholarship award may be used to pay for face-to-face and distance-delivered courses from KPC.
