KPBSD School Roofing Update
“The district is pleased with how well the roofing projects have gone over the past three summers. The good news for all the borough residents is that more school roof replacements than originally planned were completed with the bonded money,” said Steve Atwater, KPBSD superintendent. “Although roof replacement is not something that is always noticed by our community, this important building maintenance activity is critical for our schools. In the summer of 2013, six final roof projects from the 2010 bond will be completed:
2013 School Re-Roof Projects
In October 2013, a bond proposal to extend the useful life of the remaining KPBSD school district roof systems in need of repair will be on the October 1, 2013 ballot. The State of Alaska has already approved the 70 percent reimbursement eligibility for the 2013 General Obligation Bonds that will be issued upon voter approval. |
