Credit Recovery

Credit recovery is a program within the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District intended to help students who have failed classes and fallen behind on credits. Credit recovery is one of the tools used by schools to help students get and stay on track for a timely graduation. Credit recovery classes are very different from the classes offered by the Distance Learning Program for first-time credit. Online credit recovery classes utilize a product called GradPoint. GradPoint assigns lessons based on a built-in pretest functionality. Credit recovery classes are offered at all district high schools. The Distance Learning Program provides credit recovery services for some small schools. Most of the larger high schools offer credit recovery classes with teachers in their own buildings.
