2014/2015 Accountability Indicators Reports

Alaska School Performance Index (ASPI)

In May 2013, Alaska received permission to replace the Adequate Yearly Progress system of No Child Left Behind with a new state system.  Part of the new accountability system is the Alaska School Performance Index (ASPI).  Under ASPI, each school receives a score on a 100-point scale and a star rating from 5-stars (highest) to 1-star (lowest).  The ASPI score and star rating give an overall picture of how well the school is doing to prepare the students to be college-, career- and culturally ready graduates.   For more information on ASPI and view the reports, please see the following link.

Adequate Yearly Progress

Under the No Child Left Behind Act, Adequate Yearly Progress reports were run by the Alaska Department of Education and Early Development. Under Alaska's approved ESEA Flexibility Waiver, AYP results no longer apply. More information about AYP can be found on the State of Alaska AYP Web page.

School and District Report Card to the Public

The Alaska Department of Education and Early Development requires that school districts provide annual performance information as soon as the data is available.
