INSTRUCTIONS
Pre and Post Test

A plan of career education concepts, activities and test evaluation procedures.

STEP 1The teacher/counselor will administer the pre test to the class in September. The purpose of this test is to determine the students’ understanding of basic Career Education concepts.
STEP 2The pre test is scored and a summarization report of the class is completed by the teacher/counselor. Make two copies of the summarization report. (One copy to your principal and the second copy for your records.)
STEP 3The teacher/counselor then begins to introduce the prepared concepts and activities to the class, placing particular emphasis on the items most frequently missed on the pre test.
STEP 4The post test is administered in April. The purpose of this test is to determine if a change occurred from the previous testing.
STEP 5The posttest is scored and a summarization report of the class is completed by the teacher/counselor. Make two copies of the summarization report. (One copy to your principal and the second copy for your records.
STEP 6If a student misses all three questions in one given category of the test, a teacher/counselor/student conference will be scheduled to address for planning for the senior year.

  Skill 
2, 32In order to be hired for a job, you need a skill.Students will list places they can receive training in the skills they would need for the various jobs they might consider.
  Employability 
1, 5 Our society expects all people to work if they are able.Discuss - Something is wrong if not working is more profitable and/or socially acceptable than working.

  3. A person’s social acceptance has nothing to do with whether he/she is employed.
