The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill TEACCH Autism Program
The TEACCH approach is a family-centered, evidence-based practice for autism, based on a theoretical conceptualization of autism, supported by empirical research, enriched by extensive clinical expertise, and notable for its flexible and person-centered support of individuals of all ages and skill levels.


Parents are invited to meet and talk with other parents and an Autism Consultant from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill TEACCH Program in a supportive setting. Focus of the education is on characteristics of Autism Spectrum Disorder, and how it impacts communication, social development, behavior management, and school services. Parents will  learn about their child’s unique learning styles and effective strategies that will enhance learning at home.
