"A Year in the Life" of a Site Council…

1. Review bylaws
2. Identify meeting schedule (at least 4 and turn in minutes to supt.)
3. Review school goals and improvement plans
4. Develop council goals for year
5. Define relationships/roles with other school groups
6. Nominations/elections
7. Review discipline procedures for the school
8. At the last meeting of each semester, review pupil activity funds
9. Understand legislative priorities and budget process
10. Participate as appropriate in hiring/ scheduling discussions
11. Review assessments, provide input into school goals
12. Assist with final report submitted by June 1 to School Board
