  • Coca-Cola Scholar Program Scholarship

    The Coca-Cola Scholars Program Scholarship is an achievement-based scholarship awarded to graduation high school seniors each year.  Students are recognized for their capacity to lead and serve, and their commitment to making a significant impact on their schools and communities.  With the 33rd class in 2021, the Foundation has provided over 6,450 Coca-Cola Scholars with more than $75 million in education support. 150 Coca-Cola Scholars are selected each year to receive this $20,000 scholarship.

  • Bennington College's Young Writer's Award

     Type:  Scholarship

    Who: 2021 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students

    Amount: 1st place- $1,000, 2nd place- $500, 3rd place- $250 per genre

    Students in the 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grades during the current academic year may enter in one of the following categories:

    • Poetry: a group of three poems
    • Fiction: a short story (1,500 words or fewer) or one-act play (max. 30 minutes run time)
    •  Nonfiction: a personal or academic essay (1,500 words or fewer)

    All entries must be original work and sponsored by a high school teacher. Judges include Bennington College faculty and students. There is no entry fee. All entries must be original work reviewed, approved and sponsored by a high school teacher. We will use your sponsoring teacher as a contact for the competition should we have any questions. For homeschooled students, please contact a mentor to sponsor your writing.

  • Elks Most Valuable Student Scholarship

    Who: High School Seniors

    Amount: Up to $50,000

    The 20 Top Finalists traditionally participate in an all expenses paid leadership weekend in Chicago during which they’ll interview with the national judges. These 20 Finalists will be vying for two first-place awards of $50,000; two second-place awards of $40,000; and two third-place awards of $30,000. The remaining 14 finalists will receive awards of $20,000. The 480 runners-up will receive fifth-place scholarships of $4,000. Please click the link below for more details and the application.

  • 2022 Society of Women Engineers Greatland Section Scholarship

  • Homer Electric Association Scholarship 2022
    Expires On: Tuesday, March 01, 2022 4:00 PM

    Type: Scholarship

    Who:  Applicants shall be categorized as “seniors” or “others”. Seniors will be defined as applicants from a public or private secondary school within the HEA service area. Students in the “others” category will be defined as those individuals residing within the HEA service area who have chosen to return to college, trade school, apprenticeship, vocational or technical school after having been out of high school for a minimum of two years since graduation date.

    Amount:  Varies

    Homer Electric Association's (HEA) Scholarship Committee will award a number of scholarships for an amount to be determined by the Board of Directors each calendar year. The committee will select the winners based on the merits of the applicant. Scholarship recipients will be selected in March. Recipients will be asked to attend HEA's Annual Membership Meeting on Thursday, May 5, 2022, for the Award Ceremony.

  • 2022 Soldotna Chamber of Commerce Scholarship

    Who:  High School Seniors graduating from a public or private school in the City of Soldotna

    Amount:  Two (2) $1,000 Scholarships

    Soldotna Chamber’s Membership and Community Partners fund scholarships for high school seniors who wish to pursue a secondary education. Scholarships are awarded to students who reside on the Kenai Peninsula at the time of application and who are graduating from a Soldotna area high school, either public or private. Preference may be given to students continuing their education for a major in Business and who plan to return to the greater Soldotna area after achieving their degree.

  • 2022 Vera Howarth Memorial Scholarship

    Who:  High School Seniors residing in the City of Soldotna who meet the criteria listed on the application

    Amount: Two (2) $1,500 

    This scholarship fund is established in memory of Vera Howarth, a long-time resident of Soldotna, member of the Soldotna Chamber of Commerce, and much-loved, devoted member of the community. Awards will be made to students with a positive-upbeat personality and demonstrated community involvement, including civic activities, volunteerism, a general willingness to participate and determination to overcome difficulties while retaining a positive attitude.

    Awards are made to support tuition and fees for post-High School Education. Awards must cover specified costs not covered by other grants or scholarships. Two (2) $1,500 scholarships will be awarded.
