    To be eligible for this scholarship you MUST reside on the southern Kenai Peninsula and attend one of the schools listed above.  Applicant needs to be sponsored by a current Emblem Club Member of Homer #350 parent or grandparent.

  • 2021 Alaska Peace Officers Association Scholarship

    Who:  Kenai Peninsula Borough School District Graduating Senior

    Amount:  Two $2,000 scholarships

    The Alaska Peace Officers Association (APOA) is a statewide professional organization of federal, state, and local law enforcement, 911 dispatch professionals, corrections, and other justice system personnel in Alaska.  The two scholarships will be awarded to two high school senior applicants.  The one-time disbursement is made to the recipient's college financial aid office.

    The essay will consist of a 1-2 page typed document (double spaced in times roman type 12 font) describing:  intended course of study; desire/pursuit of career in law enforcement; any leadership roles, community activities and school accomplishments; other significant experiences that the student has been involved in; and summary as to why the student is deserving of the one-time $2,000 scholarship.  Letters of reference/recommendation should fully support and reinforce leadership, school accomplishments, and community service and/or outside activities.

  • Masonic Visual Arts and Music 2021 Scholarship

    This year's high education scholarship application for the Grand Lodge of Alaska Masonic Visual Arts & Music Scholarship.  The application includes personal information, higher education plans, official transcripts, a personal essay, instructor recommendation, and applicant certifications.  This scholarship is only for Alaska high school seniors who will graduate in Spring 2021 and plan to enroll in a higher education visual arts and/or music degree program.

  • Homer Garden Club Scholarship

    Who: 2021 Graduating Seniors in the Greater Kachemak area ONLY- including communities around Anchor Point, the head of the Kachemak Bay and across Kachemak Bay.

    Amount: $500

    The Homer Garden Club is a non-profit organization that was founded to educate and encourage gardeners and provide positive experiences for gardeners at all levels of learning. Homer Garden Club recognizes that growing plants for food and beauty can be important to both the gardener and the community. Access to knowledge of soils, plants, climate and basic environmental principles and practices are integral to successful gardening. The Homer Garden Club is offering a $500 scholarship, which may be used for post-secondary training that would assist the applicant in learning and sharing the knowledge that can enhance successful gardening activities.

  • Homer Kachemak Bay Rotary Club Scholarship - GREATER KACHEMAK AREA ONLY

    Who:  Graduating Seniors in the Greater Kachemak Bay Area ONLY

    Amount:  $1,000 minimum

    The Homer Kachemak Bay Rotary Club is sponsoring scholarships for the 2021-22 academic year for applicants attending any academic institution OR vocational program, who demonstrate the best combination of financial need, career goals and Rotary principles.  A vocational program is defined as a program leading to an industry certificate, or other certificate of completion which would enable the recipient to obtain entry level career employment.  This need not be in a traditional vocational area such as welding or other trade, but may include culinary arts, specialized business training, or medical training such as nursing or EMT training; it need not be a degree program.

    Geographically, this includes Ninilchik and all school south of Ninilchik, as well as the Russian schools and schools across the Bay.

    The Homer Marine Trades Assn. (HTMA) is dedicated to the promotion of business and related activities in the marine trades industry within the greater Kachemak Bay area.  HTMA recognizes that well trained tradesmen are important to the success of the industry and is offering a grant up to $1,000 which may be used for expenses related to further vocational education and skills training relative to the marine trades industry.

  • Kenai Peninsula College's Early Registration Scholarship

    Amount: As many as One hundred sixty (160) $250

    Kenai Peninsula College is now holding a scholarship drawing in the amount of $250 for incoming freshman enrolling in 6 credits or more before April 19th. Registration opens on April 12th, and the drawing for winners will take place on April 19th. Winners will be notified by email. Funds will be applied to awarded students’ accounts after the Add/Drop Deadline (September 3rd) so long as the student is still enrolled in 6 KPC credits.

    Don and Nina Pearson have been devoted Oilers supporters. Their contribution to the Oilers Booster Club and the Oilers organization will be remembered through our annual scholarship program. Two scholarships, of $500, will be awarded to a graduating senior from any Kenai Peninsula high school program. The scholarships will be awarded to the graduating seniors deemed most worthy by the Oilers Baseball Booster Club Scholarship Committee.

    The goal of the Peninsula Oilers Baseball Club, Inc. is to foster, promote and organize amateur and recreational baseball on the Kenai Peninsula.  They are pleased to extend their scholarship program again this year.  As in past years they are able to award a $1,000 scholarship to one graduating senior from each local area high school (Soldotna, Kenai, and Nikiski).

    The Kenai Historical Society Scholarship will award a $2000.00 scholarship to each of two 2020/2021 graduating seniors who reside in the KCHS attendance area or attend KCHS or Kenai Alternative School full time. The student must plan to attend a postsecondary school or training facility (including CDL licensing) in the United States as a student during 2021/2022. Application deadline is April 30, 2021.
