COMMUNICATION WITH THE PUBLIC

The School Board recognizes and appreciates the importance of community involvement and therefore shall strive to keep the community informed of developments within the school system in timely and understandable ways.

The Superintendent, within budgetary limits, shall use various means of communication to keep the public aware of the goals, programs, achievements and needs of our schools.  One of the main tools of communication is the District website located at www.kpbsd.k12.ak.us.  Members of the community shall have opportunities to become involved in the schools and to express their interests and concerns.

The administration is responsible for all public communication except for such matters as the Board may wish to deal with publicly itself.
