Bethany Andrews is a sixth grade teacher at Redoubt Elementary. This is her first teaching assignment. Bethany recently moved from Portland, Oregon after she attained her master's degree in K-8 Elementary and Early Childhood. Bethany's younger brother, Wes Andrews, also relocated to the Soldotna area. Wes is a counselor at Skyview.

Bethany teaches sixth grade and explains that she really likes teaching this grade level because they can have discussions and get much deeper into the material at this level. As far as her experience thus far at Redoubt and in the town of Soldotna, Bethany sums it up with the following words: "The school is amazing. The staff has been incredibly supportive. It's been fun exploring Alaska and Soldotna is a beautiful little town."
