It was underclassmen vs. upperclassmen in a battle of common cents at Skyview, the annual Penny War. Students brought pennies, silver coins and dollar bills to drop in either the underclassmen bucket or the upperclassmen bucket. A team could gain points by adding pennies and other coins in their jar. They could also subtract points from the other team’s total by placing other currency and checks in the opponent’s jar.

Skyview underclassmen won the Penny Wars with a total of $86.10. A total of $121 was raised and the proceeds were given to the Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation. Students also created a giant pink ribbon in the commons area to show Skyview’s support of breast cancer awareness.
