BP Teachers of Excellence

Each year the BP (Alaska) Teachers of Excellence program recognizes the outstanding efforts of educators.

Do you know an outstanding teacher or educational ally who deserves to be recognized?

The annual BP Teachers of Excellence program begins accepting nominations every fall, with award recognition in the spring. Visit www.bpteachers.com.

The Educational Allies Award celebrates a person who makes a positive impact in their school or community. Nominate anyone from a principal, to a school nurse or teaching assistant. Do you know an unsung hero? Share their story with BP here.
The program honors K-12 teachers and other school staff from public or private schools who have made important contributions to education and their communities. Anyone can nominate a Teacher of Excellence or an Educational Ally for an award by visiting BPteachers.com.

Each BP Teacher of Excellence will receive $500 and a $500 matching grant to their school. The program also recognizes other unsung heroes in the schools, such as Principals, teaching assistants, counselors and others with the BP Educational Allies awards.

Since the program's inception in 1995, BP has recognized more than 750 Alaska teachers and receives more than 1,000 nominations each year.

  • Anyone can nominate a teacher or educational ally. Students, parents, community members, administrators and fellow teachers can submit a nomination via the nomination website, bpteachers.com.
