INSTRUCTIONS
A plan of career education concepts, activities and test evaluation procedures.

STEP 1The teacher will administer the pre test to the class in September. The purpose of this test is to determine the students’ understanding of basic Career Education concepts.
STEP 2The pre test is scored and a summarization report of the class is completed by the teacher. Make two copies of the summarization report. (One copy to your principal and the second copy for your records.)
STEP 3The teacher then begins to introduce the prepared concepts and activities to the class, placing particular emphasis on the items most frequently missed on the pre test.
STEP 4The post test is administered in April. The purpose of this test is to determine if a change occurred from the previous testing.
STEP 5The post test is scored and a summarization report of the class is completed by the teacher. Make two copies of the summarization report. (One copy to your principal and the second copy for your records.

21Communication and mathematics are important tools in jobs which require accuracy.Students prepare a bulletin board displaying tools of measurement. Brainstorm a list of ways that workers use communication tools. Students identify workers who need these tools.

5, 6, 7 Cooperation within groups is necessary to reach goals.Plan an assembly line of a product.

  1. By using money, people exchange their work for food.
  2. Every job is important to our country.
  3. People usually receive money for goods and services.

Skill

  1. I can be a carpenter without knowing how to measure and use power tools.
  2. Communication skills are important for a radio announcer.
  3. Only a few jobs require the ability to work with numbers.

Employability

  1. Reaching our goals in class depends on how well our members work together.
  2. It is okay to come to work late if you are good worker while you are there.
  3. Family cooperation usually leads to family happiness.
