his one day session is not required for KPBSD elementary teachers, it will help teachers new to The Fountas & Pinnell Classroom materials master usage of two key components of the new materials provided by the district.
Guided reading is a powerful small-group instructional context in which a teacher supports each reader's developing system of strategic actions for processing texts at increasingly challenging levels of difficulty. Participants in this workshop will explore how to use guided reading to meet students where they are and lead them forward with intention and responsive teaching.
