Returning Paperwork Overview

Beginning August 2018, KPBSD is pleased to offer electronic paperwork submission for returning students. This new electronic paperwork system simplifies the paperwork process for parents and guardians, allowing you to review, sign, and submit your child's required forms directly from your PowerSchool Parent Portal.

If you prefer to visit your child's school, or you do not have a PowerSchool Parent Portal account established, please visit your child's school during one of the Registration Times available. Be sure to ask about setting up your PowerSchool account so you can take advantage of this feature.

Ready to begin?

The electronic forms process consists of three distinct phases. In the first phase of the process, you will select the student(s) you would like to submit paperwork packets for. In the second phase, information required to complete the forms is supplied in an easy-to-use web form. Once details are supplied, you will be given the opportunity to review and sign the final forms. Once these forms are submitted, they will automatically route to your child's school for processing!

  1. Review the instructions and FAQs posted below
  2. Begin the process by logging into your PowerSchool Parent Portal at https://ps.kpbsd.k12.ak.us.
  3. Navigate to the Electronic Forms section under the Forms header along the left navigation
  4. Select the student(s) you intend to register
  5. Review existing details, and supply any missing information (indicated in yellow), clicking Next at the bottom of the page to move through all student screens
  6. Review and digitally sign registration forms

How do I save the information I have entered?
The information entered is saved automatically in the background. You can leave the form collection process at any time. When ready to resume, visit the Electornic Forms screen within PowerSchool and click the 'Edit' button to continue the incomplete form.
A form does not appear for my child
Your PowerSchool parent account must be configured as a parent or guardian of the child in order to be eligible to submit back-to-school paperwork electronically. Please contact your child's school for guidance.
I am new to the district and have visited the school to submit my new student registration form. They gave me instructions for enrolling in PowerSchool. Can I complete the remaining forms online?
Yes, you will find any remaining forms eligible for electronic submission listed in your Electronic Form section once you complete your PowerSchool enrollment.
